McDonald’s SVP, Chief Learning Officer, Rob Lauber, makes the case for business leaders investing in the ongoing education, training and career advancement for employees. Companies such as McDonald’s, Wal-Mart and Hilton are leading the way in providing educational opportunities to their employees.
Since McDonald’s launched the Archways to Opportunity® program in April 2015, the company has seen a 238 percent increase in enrollment in year two. The program provides eligible U.S. employees at participating restaurants an opportunity to earn a high school diploma, receive upfront college tuition assistance, access free education advising services and take English as a Second Language courses.
